Itinerary

  • Arrive into the vibrant city of Marrakech where you’ll be met and transferred to your traditional riad in the medina. Depending on your arrival time, relax at the riad or explore the bustling souks and famous squares.

  • Leave Marrakech early and journey across the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the famous Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Along the way, visit the ancient fortified village of Ait Benhaddou before continuing through the dramatic Draa Valley toward the Sahara.

    By late afternoon, meet the camel caravan and take a short walk into your first desert camp at Tidri.

    As darkness falls, the Sahara truly comes alive.

  • Your first full trekking day takes you deeper into remote desert landscapes. Cross seasonal lakes, wide-open plains, and rolling dunes before arriving at the red sands of Erg Sahel.

    Tonight’s camp is set amongst the dunes beneath a sky filled with stars.

    Trekking Distance: Approx. 15km
    Walking Time: 5 Hours

  • Today’s route showcases the constantly changing scenery of the Sahara. Trek across sweeping dunes and rocky plains before resting beneath tamarisk trees during the heat of the day.

    Reach the peaceful dunes of Erg Bounou in the afternoon and settle into camp for another unforgettable desert evening.

    Trekking Distance: Approx. 18km
    Walking Time: 6 Hours

  • A truly immersive day in the Sahara. Walk through isolated landscapes framed by distant mountain ranges, scattered acacia trees, and vast rolling sands.

    The legendary dunes of Sidi Naji provide a spectacular final wild camp location.

    Trekking Distance: Approx. 18km
    Walking Time: 6 Hours

  • Your final morning in the desert begins with sunrise across the dunes before trekking toward Mhamid, the gateway to the Sahara.

    After several days in the desert, a shower, proper bed, and cold drink feel exceptionally rewarding.

    Trekking Distance: Approx. 12km
    Walking Time: 4 Hours

  • Depart the desert and travel back through the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. Arrive back in the city by evening and enjoy the souks ans Medina.
