Welcome to Marrakech, the gateway to your Mount Toubkal adventure! Arrive at your hotel and meet your fellow trekkers as you prepare for the exciting journey ahead. Take the evening to settle in, explore the vibrant surroundings, or simply rest before the adventure begins.

Explore Marrakech & Transfer to Imlil
This morning, immerse yourself in the sights, sounds, and culture of Marrakech with a guided city tour. Wander through the bustling souks, admire the stunning architecture of Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere of Morocco’s most famous city.
After some free time to explore on your own, you’ll leave the city behind and transfer to Imlil, a charming Berber village nestled in the High Atlas Mountains. Here, you’ll experience traditional mountain life and prepare for the trek ahead.

Trek to Toubkal Refuge (Base Camp)
Fuel up with a hearty breakfast, then set off on your ascent towards the Toubkal Refuge (3,207m). The gradual climb takes you through rugged mountain landscapes, winding trails, and remote valleys, with plenty of chances to admire the dramatic scenery of the High Atlas.
After 5–6 hours of trekking, you’ll arrive at the refuge, where you’ll settle in for the night and prepare for the big summit push the following morning.

Summit Mount Toubkal (4,167m) & Descend to Imlil
The big day has arrived! Wake up early, grab your gear, and begin the final ascent to the summit of Mount Toubkal. The steep but rewarding climb takes you to the highest point in North Africa, where you’ll be greeted by breathtaking 360° views of the Atlas Mountains and the vast Sahara Desert stretching out below.
After taking in the unforgettable sunrise panorama, you’ll begin your descent back to Toubkal Refuge, refuel with a meal, and then continue trekking down to Imlil for a well-earned rest.

Relax in Imlil & Return to Marrakech
Enjoy a well-deserved lie-in, then take a relaxed morning in Imlil to soak up the peaceful atmosphere of the Berber village. Later in the day, you’ll transfer back to Marrakech, where you’ll have time to unwind, explore more of the city, or celebrate your achievement with your trekking group.

Departure or Continue Your Moroccan Adventure
Sadly, today marks the end of your Mount Toubkal trek. Enjoy a final morning in Marrakech, perhaps picking up some last-minute souvenirs or sipping on fresh mint tea before your departure.
If you’re not ready to leave just yet, why not extend your stay and explore more of Morocco? From the Sahara Desert to the coastal town of Essaouira, there’s plenty more adventure waiting for you!

Is Toubkal suitable for beginners?
Yes Mount Toubkal is a fantastic introduction to high-altitude trekking. The trails are well-maintained and our experienced team will support you every step of the way.
What’s the accommodation like?
In Marrakech, you’ll stay in a charming riad-style guesthouse. In the mountains, you’ll stay in a traditional mountain refuge with shared dorms and hearty meals.
Is altitude a risk?
At 4,167m, altitude is something we take seriously. However, the itinerary is designed for a gradual ascent and your guide will help monitor your wellbeing throughout.
Will I have a guide?
Yes you’ll be accompanied by a fully qualified local mountain guide and supported by a mule team for baggage.
Is transport from Marrakech included?
Yes all transfers to and from the Atlas Mountains are included.
